We have some ideas for people who think that holiday at the sea does not mean only swimming and sunbathing. These are some trips for families (half day or entire day).

Babies and kids will love meeting farm animals at Fattoria La Parrina (5/10 minutes far by car). Here they will pet donkeys and give them some fresh grass, learn how cinta senese pigs look for refreshment in the mud or look at geese and ducks swimming in the big pond.

Another magical place for children (but also for adults) is the Tarot Garden by Niki de Saint Phalle, not far from Capalbio. A park with statues representing the major arcana of the tarot cards who lead visitors in a world between fantasy and reality.

For intrepid explorers we suggest a night canoa trip on the Ombrone River in the Maremma Natural Park. Surrounded by nature and silence you will discover the last part of the river until its mouth in the moonlight during hot summer nights. In the Maremma Natural Park, in Alberese, you can also take part in a carriage trip and meet the Maremma horses raised by the Butteri. It is an amusing trip for families or groups along the paths of the Park which ends with a tasty happy hour with local products and good quality wine.
