When it comes to crystal clear water, long sandy beaches and stunning sunsets no-one thinks about Maremma, a land kissed by the sea and the sun.
People who choose our accomodations will have at their disposal a great variety of bays and beaches with turquoise, calm water. The perfect location for your holidays with friends, family or your better half.
Monte Argentario with its coastline was also the background of some film scenes such as the one with Kirk Douglas as Ulisse in the homonimous movie (1954), when the main character is saved by Nausicaa.
The beach with direct access from our campings and hotels offers a beautiful view from Monte Argentario and Porto Santo Stefano on the left, with the shape of Giglio Island at their back. Then in front of you Montecristo island with its rock ledges rising from the sea and, on the right, Talamone with the Rocca overlooking the small town and port. Our beach is sandy and with shallow water, perfect for a long walk or playing football or tennis with your children.
The most famous beaches of our area are of course the Giannella and Feniglia, the two on the tomboli (the strips of land which enclose the Orbetello Lagoon). Both beaches are sandy and with free access or beach resorts, for families or friends of all ages.
Among the bays in Monte Argentario the most famous are Cala del Gesso, hidden by the rocks and loved by couples on boats, and the Acqua Dolce beach near Porto Ercole, with smooth stones and calm water.
